Such a sad sight to see but you captured him very well in this shot Yves. I looked up what causes baldness in these birds and it stated that the most probable cause is stress during the breeding season or mites and in both cases the feathers will grow back.

Thank you very much for the info Heather. I made a drama storyline but I am glad it is not that bad. The guy should be beautyful again for the next mating season.

Thanks Debra. As stated Heather it is not that bad. It just gives the guy a strange look for a moment. I was not used encounter those kind of problems in the nature. I wonder why I see many of it this season.
