I thought he was looking a little thin as well. Very nice shot of the bear and the surrounding landscape. Always great to know the story behind the image.

Both the story and the story the photo told, are awesome!! Great work!

Thank you so much Jane.

Agree all the way with Clifford. Nice to have a larger view to appreciate the surrounding nature with a little snow. May be it is the distance but that guy doesn't seem too fat.. He must have skip a meal or two.

Yes, some of the Grizzlies are still quite slim after coming out of hibernation. If this fellow spent less time wrestling and more time eating sedge grass, he would fatten up.

Clifford Dupuis

Nice pic and what an amazing story, must have been a thrill to witness

Jenny Stevens

It was a thrill. The older Grizzly would have made short work of him. I was amazed at how powerful they are to climb this very steep mountain.

Description
This five year old male Grizzly is on the run from a much larger mature male Grizzly. He has run up a very steep mountain, but the larger male has followed him. He is well above the snow line. The younger bear is on a perch that allows him to see the older bear's progress. Finally, the older bear went back down the mountain to his mate. Quite exciting to watch.
