It is such a treat to be able to follow a nest through out the summer. Probably a good thing that she moved to a path that is not so busy. Hopefully you find the new location. Like the composition and the story, hope there is more to come. Nicely captured Yves.

Thanks Debra. Agree about the treat to folow a nest. Sory to disapoint you but I never found the new place. There won't be a follow-up.

Great shot Yves. I just happy she didn't get tangled up in the threads and wisely decided to move on to a better location. An excellent candid capture of one of the challenges our bird friends must deal with in their quest to nest.

Thank you Heather. That action shot to let you think about the difficulty, frustration and patience it is to make a nest using only a beak torn and weave the threads.. They have all my admiration.

Description
This red-winged blackbird female was struggling with the thread, figuring out how to start a strong base for a good nest. Must be her first trial because she had choosen a spot too close to the very crowded trail. I took few shots. Not to disturb I left, expecting to come back every day to capture the full making of the nest. Sory folks, The day after she had moved to a more appropriate place
