Great action shot of the green heron in his environment Yves. The pose leads one to think he is about to strike. Nice lighting really shows off all the detail in your image. Could the white feather edging possibly differentiate the juveniles from the adults?? I have not been lucky enough to encounter one of these beauties so I have not researched the green heron.
Thank you for the nice coments Debra. You have a point. It may differentiate the young. Anyway I find those fine white lines very beautyful.
This is a stellar capture of one of nature's finest showing their ability to survive by doing some amazing things. Your shot captures all the details superbly. Very well done and your question is a good one but I do not have an answer, hopefully someone does.
Thank you so much Clifford. Of course that one needed a good croping but I can count on the high quality of my 70-400 lens.
Excellent detail on his beautiful markings and you caught him in a great pose. I like how you captured him hard at work and how well reflected he is in the foreground as he goes about his busy day. A beautiful capture in every detail Yves and I appreciate your question also.. nature is full of remarkable details that seem always to serve a purpose but sometimes leave us with more questions than answers..
Thank you for your greatly appreciated comment Heather. Nature is the Grand Theater where I go for the pleasure of great presentations. Looking for beauty in every eyesight I pose on nature has finaly change my eyes to find some very often. A normal eye would have seen nothing special to shoot on that landscape. A good croping prooved otherly.
