Debra Plett

Yes they are, thanks a lot Jeff.

I love how you captured his feathers all fluffed up as he sings his song waving in the wind. Beautiful composition and detail here and very uplifting. It seems like we've waited a long time to get photos like this again.. very nicely done Debra.

Debra Plett

Thanks Heather It was uplifting to hear the blackbirds singing. I love hearing the sounds of nature walk walking the dog…so relaxing.

Yves Langlois

Nice one Debra. The bird stands out very well over the pale background. Like the line effect of the bulrushes in the background. Not so easy but you have done a very good compo on that one.

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves, yes the wind was gusting pretty good. I tried to catch him singing between the wind gusts. Just a couple of days ago nature started to warm up the trees and ground. We are now starting to see hints of green. Thanks for checking out the picture, I appreciate the feedback.

Description
This Red-wing blackbird seemed very happy to let the wind blow him around on the dried bulrushes from last summer. He was serenading and calling-out to a female Red-wing nestled in a tree.
