Great shot Heather, love the eye contact with the Jay. The Jay shows off beautifully against the background. Lovely shot….stay warm we are in the middle of a deep freeze as well.

Like very much that compo with the snow background and sparse coper leaves. Like also the lighting that whitened the line of the belly and under tail. I rarely get a nice shot at those blue jays.
Thank you Yves. I seldom get as good a pose from the jays as this either but when it's this cold, like -31C, outside they tend to sit for a bit just trying to keep warm so it worked out well for me.
