Looks to me that the bullied one finaly moved in to the suet and the other one had no choice than retreat with a lot of noise. Lighted Colour of the background make it a very nice shot. This is the way of the jays and it is always a delight to check them all the winter. Thanks for the shot Heather.

Thank you Yves. I guess it's one of the rewards of putting out feeders and getting a good view of the action at times. The jays are always entertaining to watch.. never a dull moment with these birds :)

Great action shots Heather. The Jay holding on to the rim looks like he had been startled and then got vocal about the intrusion. Really nice focus on the Jays and a very nice soft background.

Thank you Debra. Yes that jay was just minding its business at the feeder when the other fellow swooped in and took over. I was photographing it when all of a sudden things got more interesting :)

Jeff

Description
Things were getting a little feisty at the feeders when one jay thought he would just zoom in and take over the suet block. Jays can be noisy and rowdy at times but they're always entertaining to watch at the feeders.
