Thank you Yves. And as you stated, it was fortunate for me that deer are curious creatures and tend to stall a bit before making a mad dash. I got some nice photos of her doing that too but this was my favorite shot.

Super image Heather. The lighting shows the Doe off perfectly. She is nicely framed by the fall leaves. She looks like she is in good shape. It is that time of year again when the deer are pretty active. I saw quite a few this morning on my trip to the park.

Thank you Debra. She did look healthy, alert and really curious, all good signs of a healthy animal in spite of the dry summer we had until the rains finally came I'll be looking forward to viewing your deer photos soon too.

Yves Langlois

You captured a very nice pose of the deer Heather. Looking at you, curious with a good lighting. Top half of the image if full of bright yellow leafs which gives a little joy around the face of the deer. Well done.

Description
On a drive into the hills we came across this curious Mule Deer who paused long enough for me to get a few photos before high tailing it back into the bush.
