Thanks for the comment Jeff.

Debra Plett

Great shot Yves. Agree with Heather the red against the wood grain is very striking and I really like how well the wood grain shows off the transparency of their wings. Cool shot.

Thank you Debra. There is a long wooden sidewalk to access the island. The place for dragonfly. They love to sunbath on the wood planks.

Heather Mellon

An excellent perspective on the dragonfly mating game! I like the dash of red, the eye contact and how well they show up against the wood grain. Very nice shot, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Heather. I had a lot of fun chasing them for a good shot. I would have expected better than the wood plank but this is the one with the best focus.

Description
At mating season it is usual to see them in pair. But those two pushes the experience to an extreme limit. And they fly too. The one at the back has its wings in the wrong position to fly forward, but he does make it beautyfuly. Taken at the Island of the marsh (Magog lake) in Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley.
