Thank you, Jeff. It added another dimension to the image, that's for sure. I couldn't have wanted for anything better.

Amazing photo opportunity Heather, one of a kind. The composition and colour is terrific. I love how the birds where taking a moment to rest on the fence and that you were able to capture the moment so beautifully. Nicely done.

Thank you so much, Debra! It certainly was one of those rare opportunities and one of the things I'll remember is the sound they made while communicating with one another. Fortunately there was no other traffic on the road and we were able to really enjoy the experience.

Like very much that beautyful shot Heather. Of course the opportunity was there. But you did a great compo there. The lighted yellow mountain that separate the soft blue sky from the bird's lineup. Appreciate the wild dried plant in the foreground. Very well done.

Thank you, Yves, your comments are always much appreciated! I wanted to get the view behind the birds in the photo too and it surprised me when they didn't fly so I was able to. I only wish the birds showed as crisp and clearly here as they do on my computer.

Description
I came across a flock of migrating Black Birds perched along a fence line yesterday on an early morning drive. Fortunately they weren't bothered by my presence and gave me a very enjoyable photo opportunity. There were several hundred birds in this flock who had banded together for their journey southward.
