Nice capture, this one looks very serious and you got that great expression

Thanks Clifford, yes I think he was a bit upset with the magpie.

Such a beautiful shot, Debra. The grass provides the perfect contrast and it's all about the Eagle. I'm amazed that he was able to haul such a large carcass across the ground, what a powerful bird. Great story and capture!

Debra Plett

Thx Heather, Yes the Eagle was very determined to get the carcass down into the bottom of the ditch not just off the shoulder.

Good ome He is big The have such strong feet the eyes are so fears

Debra Plett

Thanks Jeff, yes this guy feared nothing.

Nice shot Debra. They are so beautyful in flight. There is a price to pay. Nice shot showing walking is not easy for them. Very well done.

Thanks very much Yves, the Eagle was not threatened at all by the other birds maybe just pestered. He wasn’t about to give up on lunch especially after he managed to drag the Raccoon from the highway.

The Bald Eagle moved away from the Raccoon carcass displaying their very awkward gait. At this point I left him to defend his food against the incoming Ravens and Magpie's.
