Description
This year I have tried to focus on 'character' of the subject (in this case, pelicans). Photography is my tool for mindfulness; it draws me in and where normally I am unable to sit and just 'be', when out in nature I can sit and observe for hours. Fortunately, this allows for opportunities where wildlife do not feel threatened by my presence which helps & my thoughts and worries about everything else fade out for that time period. Some people use yoga, meditation.....for me it is photo therapy. These two came quite close...and they spent some time cruising in this tiny area we were in and demonstrating mad pelican skills. - taken in rural Gimli area
