Very nicely composed series of images Yves with a happy ending. Love the timing of the shot with the dog swimming away from the duck and the duck taking a sideways glance to make sure he is safe. I also like how you captured the rushing water in the top right corner. Nicely done.

Thanks for the nice comments Debra. I have not noticed but you are right about the glance of the duck. I love that shot for the same reason : the blue of the rushing water balances the blue of the duck and the dog one..

Excellent shot and title. You can see by the look on his face how downtrodden the dog is feeling about the lost opportunity. Very nice composition and you captured the beauty of the ripples and reflections throughout the scene so perfectly here. Very well done, Yves.

Thanks Heather. I couldn't end the story without showing the disappointment on the face of that dog. I feel sad for the dog and happy for the duck... a nightmare.

Description
He chased the duck, sure to win, and he came real close. The duck broke his dream in no effort. Humiliated, the duck now returns to the owner. The disappointment is so true on his face. End of the story.
