Very nice capture, Yves, and I love a happy ending! I love the vibrant color and angle of the ripples surrounding the chase. Together with the happy duck escape it makes a beautiful and really interesting image.

There was no drama finaly, but a dog with a broken dream. I do believe he would have made no harm to the duck. May be it was just for a kiss :) Beeing the duck, I would not have wait for the kiss too.

A favourable ending for the duck. Having wings paid off this time. Nice storyline Yves. I really like the rippling of the water around the duck and the dog. The beautiful blue of the water and the rippling adds to the action and pursuit leading ones eye through the frame. Very nice shots Yves.

Like I said earlier. That very unusual blue appears on most of my shots that day. I Like those moments that demand a 2 or 3 shots to show the complete story.

Description
He chased the duck up to the moment that he was too close. The duck made a sudden U-turn. Few wing strokes and a strong paddleling later he was far away. Here the dog understand that the dream had just vanished and will stop, humiliated. Taken at the Drummond dam on the Magog river.
