Very beautiful shot Heather. The pose makes me think that he is very innocent but the twinkle in the eye makes me think that he is ready to tackle the day of new happenings. Great composition and lighting, nicely captured.

Thank you Debra. I was really pleased with the pose this one gave me. He was busy collecting insects then stopped for a while just to watch me. It was such a nice moment and I'm glad that I caught it on camera.

Lovely lighting on the Warbler, Heather. It leaves me with the feeling that this is a young bird trying to understand the world. The tilted head asks; What is she doing pointing that thing at me?

Heather Mellon

Thank you Harold. That's pretty well the way it was I think. Young and curious and really beautiful too.

Yves Langlois

Great compo of that nice little fellow Heather. Love the capture you did with the head slighted tilted and its curious eye smiling at me. Appreciate the diagonal branch which split the image between foliage and none.

Heather Mellon

Thank you Yves, I didn't see much of the yellow warblers this summer which is very unusual and it has me wondering. I love that curious pose he gave me in this one.

Description
A Yellow Warbler takes a short pause in its busy day gleaning insects from among the maple trees. They also drink nectar and eat pollen from flowers and are good at catching insects in mid-air.
