Description
This summer, my family rented an old cottage on a small quiet lake near Bancroft where each day and night we were serenaded by the haunting call of loons. Loons are sometimes known as symbols of communication and family and it’s easy to see why. This pair would call to each to maintain their connection as they dove and fished around the lake. This image was taken from a kayak with the Nikon D850 and the Nikon 500mm f/5.6 PF, August 2021.
