Heather Mellon

A lovely capture of this heron looking very much like the king of his world. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and it looks like a popular spot for the birds in the background. You captured the beauty of this scene very well, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Heather. I wanted the shot to look a little more scenery. Glad you like it. The site is much more crowded than the Drummond dam. Lots of bird watchers and photographers that I like to talk to.

Harold Fleming

The main subject is on a great perch, Yves and I like the white in the photo which pulls the eye around the scene.

Yves Langlois

Thank you for the nice comments Harold. Agree with you for the white water lilly. There are planty of them all around and they sure give a little kick to an image

Debra Plett

Wonderful landscape and the title is perfect. Definitely appears to be staking a claim on the area. Love the composition and colours. Nicey captured Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Debra. The title is what I think of when I look to the image. I love that new site I am discovering this summer. I tend to do less closeup and prefers to show the subject with its surrounding.
