What a great environmental shot which makes this image very special. This one definitely please the camouflage will keep him safe and out of your sight. Nice capture

Yves Langlois

Thank you Cilfford. I knew the was a bittern and I expected the shot for three weeks. Happy ending.

Debra Plett

Looks like a great marsh Yves. It is a great time of year to get migrating birds. Another super shot with great focusing and composition.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Debra. Sory to answer a bite late. You are right, some told me there that a lot of nice migrating birds uses the place. A very nice place but a lot more expensive on the gaz bill.

Jeff

An awesome capture, Yves! Excellent focus on this very handsome bird. You captured the colors and detail of the whole scene so beautifully here. Well done.

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Heather. Yes, he was in a nice pose, we were 3 photographers to happily shoot,, quite near. That new marsh I am discovering this summer is very interesting.

Description
Hard to detect in the cattails. He is so confident in its camouflage pattern that he won't move, convince that you don't see him. Taken at the Island of the marsh (Magog lake) in Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley.
