You are right Yves, adjusting the speed and anticipating the movement is a skill that requires some practice. I have yet to master changing settings on the fly. You will no doubt be a pro at it one day this summer. Very nice composition, colour and action.

Glad I am not the only one to get that skill. So let's keep on practicing and enjoy what we have done so far.

You caught some action here and it looks like the adult kingbird still has an eye on you. Sounds like you got off lucky, Yves, since they're great defenders of the nest. Nice shot with an interesting story too.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Heather. So far the reaction was to fly away. I was surprise that they confront me at close range. I guess you are right, I was lucky.

Description
After having done lots of noise and bullying the parent turned around and quitted. That shot would have been beautyful at 1/1000 sec. but I am always sets 1/100 f13 for non moving subjects. When fast moving action suddenly pops I am doomed. I have not acquired yet the reflex to fastly adjust the settings. May be one day.
