Nice composition Yves and I agree he does have that perfect posture. Interesting that you have captured the Robin sitting on a gravestone, I had read once that Robins have been associated with new beginnings.

Thank you Debra. And thanks also for the new beguinings interpretation. I like it very much and will make it mine.

Nice composition and an interesting setting on this shot, Yves. Robins are unique in a number of ways it seems. I especially like the pose you caught him in here standing very much at attention for a very nice capture.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Heather. This is the exact pose they take on the ground when they sense vibrations for worms. Of course he is not sesing anything on that big rock. But that pose is so natural for him.

Harold Fleming

He does look like he's standing at attention maybe in honour of a passing soul, Yves. The second gravestone helps to fill the view and adds to the composition.

Thanks Harold. This is an old graveyard in the country. The lawn is mowed but there is just 15 gravestones. I had fun shooting the guy flying from a stone to another. I choose to present that one for the reason you said. (the white stone behind and the opposite black and white)

Description
The robin is the only bird I know that stand up with the wings touching the ground like that. I wander why. May be it help sensing worms vibration of the ground. Anyway, it gives the guy a prety nice military look.
