Almost missed this one.. and it is truly gorgeous! She is such a beauty and everything surrounding her complements her so very well. The lighting brings out the detail you captured so perfectly here.. a stunning portrait, Harold!
I appreciate your viewpoint, Heather! I'm fortunate to get to the right spot for this photo without her moving.
That lighting on the doe is just gorgeous Harold. Suggesting softness of a cloud and a calm state. She is not stressed but kind of attentive to the cam guy. Blue pebbles in the foregrouds make it for a nice complement, with a slight touch of grass align with the deer diametricaly. This is a poster shot.
I appreciate that, Yves. She let me get quite close and as I did I walked around another gravel mound so I could shoot her from the side. That put the sun to my right and gave me this beautiful light on her. The grasses also picked up some of the light.
Beautiful lighting and colour tones Harold, subject matter is precious. I like the contrast between the foreground rocks and the softness of the background.
The light was a big help in this shot, Debra. I noticed her off in the distance as I entered the area, took a long shot and then moved in closer. She never moved but kept watch like this.
