Beautiful photo, Jane! An excellent composition with great focus, texture and depth of field. I like how the butterfly uses the back of the body to brace itself. Light coming through the leaves and a soft background round it off perfectly. Your strutting your stuff with this one.

Description
Our Monarchs here in New Brunswick are at least a month early this year. That should mean two broods. Only the butterflies that hatch after about August 15th will be the ones to migrate south and over winter in Mexico.
