It can be quite a spectacle to see the raptors crying out for mercy from a bird far smaller than they are. I witnessed a raven getting the same treatment from an eastern kingbird yesterday and of course I didn't have my camera with me. A beautiful portrait of this hawk hiding out Harold and I like the story behind the image.

I'm lucky he ducked enough to avoid the branch in front of his face, Yves. I'm a big fan of these dead trees myself, especially with raptors. You have to be aware of your exposure though. They can be very bright when the sun is on them.
The Hawk is looking at a robin on another branch. It would have told the story better if I could have included the robin in the scene but it was just too far away.
