Gorgeous shot Heather. Colours and texture are amazing, not to mention the simple beauty of what butterfly story brings to our gardens and life.
Thank you Debra. I was actually surprised at the depth of color in this shot but it seems to bring out the best in the butterfly and quickly caught my eye. We have lots of them zooming around but the swallowtails seem to be the only ones who settle long enough to get some nice photos. They all add a lot to the beauty of summer don't they.
This is a beautiful display of the swallowtail, Heather. I can see the texture of the hair, the lines are well laid out and the lighting is perfect.
Thank you Harold. I was using my older camera because I've had such good luck chasing butterfly shots with it and it didn't hurt that this little guy landed right in front of me at just the right time.
Nice! this one is not missing a piece. Beautyful colour mix between the yellow, purple and green. Lighting is perfect. They are not rare but always beautyful to look at. Well done. Heather.
