A beautiful capture of this lovely trio. The composition and colors are striking and very eye catching. I had the pleasure of photographing one female merganser on our dugout a few years ago and it was a very special moment for me because it's the only one I've ever seen on it. I think these birds are especially beautiful..

In the summer, when it's overcast we often get these green reflections from the grass on the banks, Yves. When it's clear out we get reflections of the alder trees just behind the grasses in blue or dark water. Winter may give us any number of reflections. As a photographer you have to love those changes.
