Great composition and colour Bernie. I really like the contrast of one deer in the light and one in the shadows.

Nice capture, Bernie. I like the pose, with the ears up. I hear you about a steep learning curve with new equipment!!

Harold Fleming

Nice colours throughout, Bernie! Almost two stories here, one of the larger deer tall and steady not worried about the dog and the other smaller doe in the shadows showing caution. I like the lighting here too.

Yves Langlois

You captured a very nice duo Bernie. Crisp colours and sharp contrast. Like the lighting as well.

Description
Our regular morning visitors were startled by one of the neighbor's dog that began to bark while the visitors were feeding on the lush new growth. Stood rock solid still they did until they saw that a 2 lb (<1 kg) toy dog behind a fence was not a serious threat. I do wish to say however, that I am pleased with the first result - well, not absolute first, but the first postable, sharable result from the new machinery that appeared in my camera bag early this week. Steep learning curves that only get steeper with age. HA!
