Description
As a prey species, deer communicate through vocalization, body language, and scent to convey relationships and express mood, status, and intent. For this young couple, in the protection of tall grasses and dense trees in the small hours of the morning, nose touching is more than for the purpose of recognition. It is a way to comfort, to bond, to share, and perhaps, to eventually build a family together.
