Great shot, Yves! You're right, the colour in the Mallards really comes out in the winter often due to the sun being lower at this time of year.

Yves Langlois

Thank you for the info Harold.

Jenny Stevens

Lovely shot Yves. I am so looking forward until the ice is out on my lake as the mallards always drop by.

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Jenny. Those ducks are familiar and not affraid of human so it is a real opportunity to do nice photo. With the other birds we do whatever is possible according to the conditions of shooting. I may be wrong but I beleive that early spring and late autumn produce more vivid color du to the cold temperature.

Very Nice capture Yves, Great focus on the mallards. I like the texture of the foreground grass and rocks with snow running through. 2021 off to a great start for you. Yesterday at the marsh somehow my 70-400 lens became detached from the adapters and hit the floor of the discovery centre. Something has bent inside making the zoom ring stick quite a bit. Hopefully it can be repaired.

Yves Langlois

Thank you for nice comments Debra. Hope your lens give the same shots quality when repared. I was so hapy to walk the river banks after 4 months of potato coach at home all the winter.

Jenny Stevens

Debra, so sorry about your mishap. Good luck.

Debra Plett

Thanks Jenny
