Thanks you Bernie.

Nicely captured! It is a great subject and the framing, the plant and soft background all work so well together.

Thank you for the comments Bill. The beauty is everywhere I look. So I never refuse shooting a bug. The chalenge is different but it always worth it..

You seem to have your 400 zoom mastered Yves. Couldn’t be easy catching a small subject like that from a distance. Nice focus, colours and bokeh in this image. The temperatures are warming and summertime nature shots are just around the corner.

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Debra. Like many photographer I dont like to change lens when in the field. So I found a way to do those macro shots with the 400.. Just to tell you. With the macro lens the chalenge is the get the closest possible without frightening the bug. The 400mm needs a minimum distance of 6 feets to focus. So the chalenge is to back up. With the macro I never bother about the bokeh. Now I always try to choose an angle that will give a nice bokeh.

Description
I have been chasing bugs for many years with a 100mm Macro lens. Never see that one dragonfly. Last summer I was chasing birds with a 400mm. The little fellow came in for the shot.
