Fox and chicken

Description
We had been letting our chickens free range for 2 years, until this vixen found our flock. Some may consider this baiting, but that was definitely not the intention. She killed and ate most of the Rhode Island Red and the parts she didn’t eat she took into the woods to bury them. Her pup also took one of the birds, but we only got a fleeting view of it. The vixen seemed to show no fear and she even approached me so close that I could not get her in focus. Now the remaining birds are not free range. Lesson learned.
