Beautiful shot, Debra! Very clear! Not easy to see as they blend so well with the surroundings. Luckily they are very often on the outer edge of the woodline.
Thanks very much Harold. You are right most times the owl has been close to the edge of the bush overlooking a field or small open area. Just starting to learn about the Great Grey Owls habits ets.
Love that one Debra. My favorite for what it tells. No sparkles or colours to distract me. The beauty is the patience you took to get friend with the great bird. The image shows that the bird is not anymore stressed by you. He is back to its normal activity. And that gave a gorgeous face with a touch of white lighting. Bravo!
Thanks for your feedback Yves, always appreciated. I am only lucky enough to spot this owl about every 3rd day or so and always in a different area of the park, maybe couple miles from previous encounter. I am not sure what there range is but have learned to look in areas that are treed but also have a clearing or field close by. All fun and exciting.
Wonderful tones and detail in another awesome capture Debra! I love the angle of this shot and the pose you caught here. He/she looks pretty unconcerned by your presence while watching for movement below.. well done!
Thanks for feedback Heather. I am hoping that the Owl is used to me now. Maybe next time I spot him I can get myself into a good position and wait for an in flight shot.
