Beautiful colour in the male, Debra. More please!

Thanks Harold, I am going back there today and hoping we have some sunshine to brighten up things.

Heather Mellon

Gorgeous capture Debra! They stand out beautifully here against the background colors and I love those sweet poses. I hope you'll see more of them also.. they're delightful birds to have around and if they find enough seeds and berries they will likely stay.

Debra Plett

Appreciate the feedback Heather. With the amount of seed along the trail these birds could be a little chubby by spring.

Yves Langlois

Nice compo of the two birds Debra. You are lucky to have so beautyful birds to shoot. The background is paler than the other photo but as nice.

A slightly different angle put less trees and more of the snowy hiking trail in the background making it a bit lighter. This is the first time I have seen the Pine Grosbeak here, hopefully not the last. Thanks for feedback Yves.

nieces i really do not get them in my area i only had one a week ago really nieces

Thanks Jeff, I haven’t seen Pine Grosbeaks around here for a couple of years. Very glad to have seen them. Hopefully they are hear to stay.

Debra Plett

I hope you get the shot Jeff

The last couple of days a few Pine Grosbeaks have joined the many Chic-A-Dees, Blue Jays and Nuthatches eating seed along the hiking trails in Birds Hill Park.
