An excellent close-up of this little guy Yves. I love these birds but rarely ever see them. You obviously have a way with birds for him to allow you so close and give you such a beautiful pose.

Thanks Heather. For long I though that bird was effraid to come close. For the last few days, I walk my regular trail along the river and hand feed chickadees. Gess what. Last time I got a 10 minutes session of hand feed with 3 nuthatchs. I plan to do some shots with them pretty soon.

Thank you Debra. I had a nice surprise lately. I walk my favorite trail with sunflower seeds to hand feed chicadees. Last time one nuthatch came in to get some seeds in my hand. I was surprise because so far they use to fly around but where to effraid to come to my hand..

It sounds like they are very comfortable with your presence now. Interaction with wildlife does something for the soul.

Super capture Yves, great composition. Strong focus, these little guys move so quickly they can be really difficult to get a good picture of. Good timing love that he is looking at you. Really like the bokeh as well.

Description
The guy surprised me so close on the fence next to me that the autofocus could not make it. I was doomed. By the time I backup he had left, picking food on tree trunks all around the place. Expecting a come back I waited. What he finaly did few minutes later.
