Beautiful composition, tones and detail here. The subtle tones and reflections take this image to another level.. I find it strikingly beautiful and as Debra stated, very tranquil. The Hooded Merganser absolutely shines here too. You need to frame this one Yves!

Thanks Heather. Well, A shot like that touch me right to the botom of my heart. Condition of lighting and weather to get thoses tones and compo are still uncontroled by me. It is still a gift from Nature and I do love deeply those moments.

Debra Plett

Beautiful Yves, The softness of this image leaves one with a very tranquil feeling. I love the subtle reflection of the trees mixed amongst the tree stumps. Well done.

Thank you very much Debra. I really do appreciate those soft tones scenery once in a while. The magical here is that I had noticed the nice scenery and I waited a while for the duck to come somewhere in the scene. He finaly did paddle through the scene at the exact spot to balance the composition. Lucky guy.

Description
The delicate lighting of a cloudy morning zen my walk at the Carbonneau marsh. Soft colour tones of the dying autumn produced that kind of water colour masterpiece. The artist in me was charmed.
