A wonderful capture of this eloquent bird with a beautiful story.. great work Yves!

Thanks Heather. Since I'm also a whriter with a lot of imagination, I finaly made it a story. It start last year with the chasing of that bird everybody was talking about. Did not even see it last year. I found a new trail to walk this year and with it a particular spot where a juvenile green heron goes every day. After a while he becomes familiar and got the name Johny. Since that one is clearly not a juvenyle he became the father in the story. I need those stories in my life, and I got them.

Debra Plett

Nice narrative Yves, lets hope he has a safe winter and will return in the spring.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Debra. I am touched you noticed the writing. Writing is going to me my motivation for all the long winter to come, It is bad you won't be there to comment, Have a pleasant winter too.

Description
Most likely this is Johny's father, showing the full colours of an adult green heron. The public beach he stands on has been closed for the season. No more laughing and activities around. Out of the funny pose I feel the end of a story, a little sadness in the heart. Here he insist to shake hand goodby. So we did. We broke-up keeping lots of souvenirs for ourself. He was going south. I was going home. Both of us hoping the best for next summer. Taken near the Jacques-Cartier bridge in Sherbrooke.
