Very cute Muskrat Yves, he probably sensed no danger and decided to have some lunch as well as give you a good photo op. Love all the texture and details in this image. Nicely done.

Thanks Debra. Your explanation is a very good point of view about how animals can communicate with us. At the moment of shooting, I knew that the greens where doing a lot of shadows on the face, and perhaps spoil the shot. But finaly I like the effect of light and shadow. Since the lighted zones are sharp focus the shadow zones does not spoil the image.,

Excellent shot Yves! In spite of the shadows you captured the tones and details of his coat, face and foot beautifully here. He's a cute looking little fellow too :)

Thank you Heather. That one was surprising, funny and quite an easy shot. May be I was at the right place at the best moment. :) :) :)

Taken at the Carbonneau marsh in Sherbrooke. Reaching my favorite spot I disturbed a muskrat who jumped in the water and rushed to hide in the reeds. A minute later he came back next to me and continue eating like if we where good friends. He was so close that I had to backup since my 100-400mm requires 8 feets to focus. Check the feet of that guy.
