Looking at the thumbnail or the next size photo does not do these birds justice but the large photo is wonderful.

Hi Debra. As usual, with the focus your a pro. So sharp that I could enlarge it as needed to find the chicks in the nest (with the new function) and it stays sharp. That proud mother, posing with its two wing sticken to the body always put a smile on my face. It is more than a shot... it is an assigment, a follow up on that family with a good narative. I give myself assignment like that on certain subject. I like the chalenge it brings.

Thank you very much Yves, I always appreciate your feedback. Hopefully all 3 chicks survive. I was there this morning and the mom was feeding the chicks again. There were pretty low in the nest as it was a very windy day today. Did not get any pictures of the nest today.

Great shot and story Debra, hope all do well

Thanks Clifford. I will keep tabs on the nest and hopefully post more as the chicks fledge the nest and then just before they leave to go south.

Excellent shot.. I see all three of the chicks which is a tribute to the clarity and excellent focus you got on this one! Daddy Osprey is going to be busy keeping all those little guys fed. You did a terrific job getting this photo and it's exciting to know how many young they actually have.

Thanks Heather, I was really happy to see that she did have chicks.

Description
Inland Pitt nest has 3 chicks, no wonder I have not seen the male Osprey very much he is always out looking for fish to feed the family. I arrived at the nest to find the female Osprey feeding. I wasn't sure if it was just her eating or she was feeding chicks. I had been watching the nest for about 5 minutes when a chicks head rose above the nest. I snapped a few pictures and when I looked back at the images I could see a couple more chicks close to the mother Osprey. Not sure if you will be able to tell but one you can see its eyes through the nest sticks and the other chicks body is just below the mothers. Hopefully there is enough fish for all 3 chicks to survive.
