NICE OSPREY SHOT DEBRA :-]}

Heather Mellon

Her hackles are really up judging by her raised feathers. You captured the mood perfectly here, hopefully she can protect her nestlings. What a great shot!

I love watching this nest. Hopefully next visit I will see nestlings. Thanks again for your comments.

Super shot Debra. The image is very luminous. The sharp focus let me see all the beauty of thoses ruffled feathers. And you captured the motion in a expressive timeslice. Nice narative too.

Thank you Yves, she is so very alert and intent on protecting the nest that I am certain that there is a chick in the nest. It surely would be sad if the little ones did not survive.

Description
The female Osprey has spotted a couple of Bald Eagles in the distance. She changes her posture and starts to make her chirping noise alerting the male Osprey of pending intruders.
