Thanks Jeff, nice to hear from you. I think it was one of those lucky shots because I didn't lose focus when I turned to get it. Otherwise I would have missed it for sure because these guys move fast!

Thanks Debra. That's what I thought too. These birds really seem to enjoy hanging out near people who visit the dock. Of course they come with food so there's a good reason why the ducks like us :)

Super shot Heater. Everything is so perfect in that shot. I like that you frame it close. The splash is really well done, at a stand still. Proportion of water splash and duck is nice to my eye. And I noticed the touch of blue sky (over the head of the duck) in that grey water.
