Shirley, I love it!! You can almost feel the rough texture of the bark. Great focus on the birds. Great job!!

Wonderful capture Shirley, I love the stare on the bottom bird.

Description
A friend invited me to his property to see these youngsters in their nest. We observed the pair from a safe distance and did not disturbed them in any way. I set up my camera on a tripod with a 600mm telephoto lens. We relaxed in lawn chairs and watched the two as they observed their surroundings. One of the parents came to feed them while I was there. I certainly enjoyed the experience and was very pleased with this shot. The pair left the nest two days later I was told. The nest was high up on a very tall tree.
