Thank you Yves. I am going to slow down my visits to the nest a bit. Now that the female is actively protecting and keeping the eggs warm I do not want to upset her. As well if the male is off fishing there may be no action at all. Would like to find where the male is fishing and get some pictures of him close to the water.

I'm pleased that for you a good shot doesn't worth disturbing the osprey female. I'm sure that you will get some nice shot elsewhere.

The shot is good and fit well the description. thank you for the follow-up on the family. You have a nice writing . Here to birds have a problem this year. Much colder than normal.

The male Osprey is returning with nesting material, the female arranges it. It seems like the male is bringing back a lot of mud and grass right now, my suspicion is that they are tucking this material around the eggs to help keep them warm. The temperature here is below normal for this time of year and last night dropped down to -3 degrees C, not to mention all the wind we are having.
