Description
The Prothonotary Warbler is one of the rarest regular breeding warblers in all of Canada. Typically there are fewer than 20 pairs in recent years, and one of the main locations is at Rondeau Provincial Park, in extreme southwestern Ontario. Rondeau has been the stronghold for this species since it was first discovered nesting in Ontario back in the very early 1930s.
