Description
About a month or so ago, I had the pleasure of encountering this Barred Owl. For the majority of the time that I was watching it, it was sleeping. I was a comfortable distance away and although it was aware of my presence, it really didn't seem to mind. At this point though, a couple had come across it while walking along the trail, coming from the other direction. They stopped right below it to take photo with their phones (they didn't know I was there). The owl was looking down at them, watching, then turned to look at me here, almost as if it were asking "what are they doing?". The people didn't stay for long and soon after, I also left the owl as it went back to sleep in the same spot.
