About Me

My name is Michelle. smile emoticon Pet and wildlife photography are my specialties because I have a true passion for animals. I love being able to capture their personalities. Pets are such an important part of our lives, and when I capture a pet’s personality in a photo, it lets their owner share an important part of their furry friend with so many others. I also love the challenge of freezing a certain moment with an animal. Photos have the incredible ability to freeze movement, and show us an animal’s beauty in a way our eyes can’t always see. Another favorite part of photography for me is the ability to capture the details -- often the magnificence of a pet or a wild animal is the sum total of the colors and textures that we might not notice at first glance. A fabulous photo features all these details so we can have a deeper appreciation of what makes our pet so darned beautiful! Photography fills a bit of a selfish need in me also -- it gives me a chance to be around all types of animals, close up, and develop a bit of a relationship with so many. I think they are some of the best subjects because there is so much mystery to what is behind their eyes and expressions. I've seen genuine curiosity and absolute indifference. It's always different, and you never know what you're going to get next. It’s another reason I love this type of photography. I learn something new each time. My husband and I are owned by two fabulous dogs - Titan and Holly Joe. Titan is a 68 lb. husky, a former registered therapy dog who believes he’s lap dog. Holly Joe is a husky/shepherd mix and a complete princess.
