@moosehome http://photoclub.canadiangeographic.ca/profile/18883616 . They do have to come down from the safety of their trees to hunt for food occasionally. Some of their diet includes mice, hare, shrews, fish, crayfish and carrion, which they must come down out of the trees to get. This one was just a few feet away from a tree and they can move pretty darn fast.
As far as I know it is a first year male Moosehome, they don't become completely white until fully matured. :)
