Since we have come back to the Island I have only heard of one crazy thing that is done on the beaches here - put blown glass on the beaches for people to go out and collect - and maybe get a prize. It was something done up Island that I saw on the news. It just seems like a recipe for someone - or a dog - getting their foot/paw cut one day. I know the good folk who are doing this are trying to encourage people to get out because of all the benefits to being in nature, but it seems dangerous to me. Maybe the town could get wood carvers to widdle Christmas tree decorations instead. We will have to put it through a committee first I guess...ha ha ha.

I never notice them really - as we usually walk on the beach. They seemed like good folk though :) I just posted this to wish everyone a merry Christmas.

These decorations, I have to say, always bug me. I go out into nature to see...well, nature...not more of man's ideas of 'beauty'. I wouldn't mind so bad if the decorations were taken down at the end of the season, but more often than not, I still see them looking more and more bedraggled into summer and beyond, until someone takes the time to clean them up, All that being said, I love the composition here, and it is an interesting element. I only hope the dog walkers are more responsible than the people here...

Beautiful one tree, I always love to see a single tree alone and better yet, a Christmas gift!
