Blacklight surprise

by Allen_Woodliffe from Chatham CA on 25 Oct 2017

Setting up a black light after dark to attract insects is always interesting. Moths, beetles, katydids, leafhoppers and such may make an appearance. This critter is an Acorn Weevil, with its long 'snout' adapted to penetrate acorns and other things.
