Shedding the Velvet

by Wesley Liikane from Severn Bridge CA on 12 Sep 2017

Shedding the Velvet I find moose so amazing that they can grow these new, sometimes massive antlers every year and shed them. Every year right before the rut the bull moose will shed the velvet which supply's the nutrients and oxygen for the antlers to grow. They shed this by thrashing trees and other objects so they can exposure the hardened bone which the bull moose will use to spar other bulls in his area. Thank you for viewing and feel free to share. For more information on workshops, guiding or private lessons be sure to check out my website or email me for more information. ©2017 - Wesley Liikane - Cowboy with a Camera
