A Red-tailed Hawk chick flexing it's wings while it's Bald Eaglet 'brother' watches. Many of you have probably already heard about the rare occurrence of Bald Eagles raising a Red-tailed hawk chick along with three of their own eaglets. An article I wrote about this story, augmented by my pictures has been published on the 'BirdWatching' magazine's website. If you wish, you can view it at the following link: www.birdwatchingdaily.com/blog/2017/07/05/amazing-story-h... I must admit to not having the time this month to check up on the nest site as I would have liked to. The latest I heard however, was two weeks ago, the hawk got into some kind of trouble, and one of the eaglets came to help. I'll let you know more if I hear more...

Thank you Sticks!! The nest is a three minute drive from where I live, down a dead end street I had never been to before, and a resident told me about the nest before the hawk even arrived. I wrote Canadian Geographic about the browse button for the contests advertised at the head of the main page, and I received the help I needed. Apparently my browser wasn't what they were using, and I had to activate it manually. All is well now...

I just tried the contest button for this site and it appears that it works for me. Are we supposed to upload pictures to be in the weekly contests etc. ? I thought we were automatically entered. I might not be understanding what you are referring to :) Hope all goes well for you!

Thanks Sheri!!! This is a great story to follow :) I think Wayne put us onto it eh? I will check out the contest browse button? I find this site usually has some sort of little glitches in it, but it is great to at least see the photos from other folk. I have not been on the site for a month or so. Good to see the great photography again!

Is anyone else having trouble with the 'Browse' button on the contests web pages? Though I log in, I can't upload or comment.
