Hawaii Mars Waterbomber has just opened it's doors and is starting it's drop. This was a photo taken on Sproat Lake, home for now of this the worlds largest fixed wing waterbomber.

Putting on a display, I have had the opportunity to take a number of photos both from land and on the water over a couple of days. Did a private self guided tour of the sister ship Philippine Mars yesterday and that was very interesting. According to rumours the days of the two waterbombers staying on Sproat Lake are numbered. The Hawaii Mars leaves soon to fly to OshKosh Wisconsin for an airshow.

Wonderful shot Wayne!! Were they practicing, or was there a fire there recently?
